Install

  1. Run RedlineStudioSetup.exe.
  2. If Windows SmartScreen says it protected your PC, press More info, then Run anyway. The installer is signed with REDLINE’s own certificate (publisher Zooba Global LLC), not one from a certificate authority Windows already trusts, so SmartScreen can’t vouch for it yet.
  3. REDLINE installs for your Windows user, in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Redline Studio, with no administrator prompt. It installs Microsoft Edge WebView2 first if the PC does not have it.
  4. Open REDLINE and get your free key on the activation screen: pick a username, email optional.
  5. REDLINE finds Assetto Corsa EVO on its own. If it can’t, it asks you to point it at the game’s content.kspkg.

How updates work

You only download this once. REDLINE checks for new versions itself; when one is out it downloads inside the app, is checked against its signature and installs in the background, then the app reopens and says it was updated. Nothing to click through. Support for a new Assetto Corsa EVO build arrives separately as a small signed engine file, without an app update. More in Help; every release is on the changelog.

What changed in 1.3.5

Start the game in VR (Settings > System), faster launches, REDLINE in Brazilian Portuguese, and weekly boards count a lap in the week it was driven.

Modified cars join only servers that allow them. REDLINE never modifies the game’s archive or executable; the cars it builds and installs go into the game’s mods folder. The game checks every car a server runs, so a tuned, converted or mod car can only join a server that allows it, and REDLINE’s tuning is off online.
