REDLINE is made by one person. This page says exactly what the software and the servers store about you, why, and how to get rid of it. It is deliberately specific rather than reassuring.

What is stored

DataWhenWhy
IP addressEach launch, when you accept the disclaimer, and when you upload to the mod storeAbuse investigation and rate limiting. It is the only thing that survives a licence key being swapped.
Machine ID and hardware fingerprintEach launch, at sign-up Ties a licence to an install so one key is not shared endlessly, and stops one person taking unlimited free keys.
Windows version, REDLINE version, number of cars and recipes Each launchKnowing which builds are still in use, so an update does not break people still on an old one.
Email addressOnly if you give one — at sign-up, or through a purchaseSending you your licence key and letting you recover it.
Licence key, username, and what you uploadOn sign-up and on uploadRunning the store: attribution, quotas, moderation.
Discord account ID, name and pictureOnly if you link Discord Linking your key, and showing your Discord picture as your profile picture in the store until you upload one of your own. The picture is served from this server, so your Discord ID is not shown with it.
Patreon account IDOnly if you link Patreon Recognising supporters and applying what linking grants.
Website visits: the page, the site that linked to it, and whether the installer was downloaded When you open a page of this website Counting visitors and downloads per day. No cookies are set. A visitor is told apart only by a code that changes every day and is never stored with your IP address, so visits cannot be linked across days or traced back to you.

What is never stored

Payment card details — those go to Stripe or Patreon and never touch this server. Nothing is read from your PC beyond the game files REDLINE is pointed at and the identifiers above. There is no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.

Who else sees it

Stripe and Patreon, for payments. Resend, to send an email when one is sent. Railway, which hosts the server. Nobody else, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.

How long it is kept

Launch and diagnostic logs are deleted after 180 days. Your licence, username and anything you have published stay until you ask for them to be removed.

Getting your data removed

Ask, and it is deleted — logs, sign-up record and telemetry. Say so in Discord or by email and quote your username or licence key. Removing your licence data also removes the licence, so you would need a new key afterwards.

Children

REDLINE is not aimed at under-13s and no account should be created by one.
